Even if you haven’t worked on the project, watching a time-lapse video can provide inspiration and pride for what construction teams can achieve together. That’s why we’ve compiled 10 of our favourite construction time-lapse videos of the year around the globe. 10. Exo Building Final video – Bennetts Construction

The Exo Building by Bennett Construction is completed. The building is Ireland’s tallest commercial building – is becoming a highly visible landmark from a number of vantage points across Dublin city. 

17 storeys of elegance, beauty, and strength, elevated to allow easy movement around it, the development presents an exciting opportunity like no other in Dublin.

9. New Modular Production Facility – MOD21 

Sustainability and environmental plans are vital elements of modular construction. Mod21 rely almost exclusively on wood in order to contribute realistically to reducing CO2 emissions.

Watch the development of the new Mod21 production hall taking shape. The Weinmann production line is currently being installed for the start of production in January 2023. In this production line, the wooden modules are manufactured almost fully automatically.

The new production area is 22,000m2 and will be able to produce 375m2 of module surface per day. Mod21 uses wooden modules to construct buildings for a variety of uses (such as schools, flats, hospitals, and nursing stations).

8. College Square Crane Installation – Walls Construction

Take a look at this 2-minute video showing the installation of the tallest crane in Ireland this month by Walls Construction at the College Square development.

Standing at 104m, the new crane is the highest freestanding in the country and is a key addition to the delivery of the project.

Well done to the Walls Construction team. Careful planning and management were required to ensure the safe disassembly of the existing crane, and the installation of the new one. It all went to plan with military precision.

7. Luton Street – Bouygues UK

Check out this time-lapse video showing another fantastic project by Bouygues UK that utilised our BIM Integration feature.

Bouygues UK, Bouygues Group’s construction arm, is working to deliver 168 new homes on London’s Luton Street, part of Westminster City Council’s Church Street regeneration program.

Integrating your BIM model with Evercam’s time-lapse cameras is a great way to strengthen project communications and increase productivity.

6. Siemens Moneypoint Concrete Pour – Siemens Energy

Siemens Energy Team and Suir Engineering reached a major milestone in the construction of the Synchronous Condenser Project in Moneypoint,  Ireland’s largest electricity generation station. Over 400 cubic meters of concrete were delivered and poured to form the generator foundation. This is the result of a huge collaboration from our Siemens Energy colleagues in Germany and Suir Engineering. Well done to all involved.

5. Shaw Tower Demolition – Lendlease Singapore

Standing at nearly 200m with extensive views of Marina Bay and the city, the new Shaw Tower is expected to provide nearly 560,000 sq ft GFA inclusive of premium Grade A office and retail and F&B space.

4. Royal Canal Park – Ballymore 

Ballymore Ireland currently has more than 1,500 homes under construction, including 8th Lock at Royal Canal Park in Ashtown, Dublin – Ireland.

8th Lock is the first large development in Ireland and the UK to use a pioneering low-carbon product known as Carbon Cure. This impressive development will see the creation of 435 residential homes along with 4,200 sq.m of commercial and amenity space.

3. Baird Family Hospital – GRAHAM Construction

The £161m project will help modernise patient care and facilities at Europe’s biggest healthcare site. It is the largest scheme to be procured through the Health Facilities Scotland Framework and is part of NHS Grampian pian’s continued investment in improved healthcare facilities across the northeast of Scotland.

2. Mosman High Concrete Pour – Multiplex

Multiplex reached a major milestone by pouring the top-level slab of the new building to deliver a major upgrade to Mosman High School on Sydney’s Lower North Shore.

The development will deliver 16 additional flexible learning spaces, and a new multi-purpose hall/gym, library, administration/staff area, and canteen. The project also includes innovative new outdoor spaces including a rooftop sports multi-court.

 

1. Gerald Desmond Bridge – Kiewit West Inc

The Port of Long Beach awarded a contract to Kiewit West Inc., to dismantle and remove main steel truss spans, columns, access ramps, foundations, and other pieces of the Gerald Desmond Bridge in Long Beach, California.

The removal of the suspended span is one of the first steps in demolishing the Desmond Bridge. Full demolition is expected to be concluded by the end of 2023.
