National Forensic Mental Health Service (NFMHS) is a modern state-of-the-art facility in Portrane, North County Dublin, located 22 kilometers from Dublin City. The project was awarded to the Joint Venture of OHL (50 percent) and JJ Rhatigan (50 percent) by the Health Service Executive.
The new facility will care for up to 170 patients. The NFMHS campus consists of a 170-bed Hospital including a 30-bed Intensive Care and Rehabilitation Unit (ICRU), a 10-bed Forensic Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit (CAMHS) and 130 secure beds, all housed on a single campus with a total floor area of c.24,500 square meters.

The NFMHS is comprised of a range of shared facilities and is intended to provide differentiated acute, sub-acute and rehabilitation services. It consists of ten hospital buildings, as well as a primary care education and treatment centre and an administrative complex.
