The Woodlock hall construction consisted of the refurbishment of the current Woodlock Hall for use as a postgraduate reading room within the Senior House Building, Secured Structure (RPS Ref 3237), on the DCU All Hallows Campus site.
The refurbishment work consisted of the installation of a new self-supporting steel frame and associated book storage and access stairs, the implementation of a new concrete floor construction requiring the raising and subsequent relaying of historic timber floorboards, the restoration of existing wainscoting of timber, sash windows, and timber doors and the replacement of outdated services to allow new services to be carefully implemented as needed.
